Boutique hotel in Kingston, Jamaica seeks to fill the role of Accounts Receivable Clerk.

 ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE OFFICER

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the hotel’s accounts receivable operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the billing and collection processes. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, along with a strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process daily receipts.
  • Prepare and send invoices to clients via email on a daily basis.
  • Create and manage customer IDs for new clients.
  • Apply payments to respective invoices promptly.
  • Follow up with clients after sending invoices to ensure timely payment and collection of GCT certificates.
  • Prepare necessary information for processing customer refunds.
  • Update and reconcile receivables accounts regularly.
  • Prepare daily cashier summaries for review.
  • Any other duties assigned

Qualifications and Qualities:

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and thorough in ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions and records.
  • Multitasking Ability: Capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Initiative: Proactive in identifying and solving issues independently.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be highly organized to manage various tasks and deadlines.
  • Team Player: Collaborative and able to work well within a team environment.
  • Trustworthiness: Reliable and ethical in handling financial information and transactions.
  • Tertiary degree or certification in Accounting or similar
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience 

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Accounting Software: - Great Planes/Microsoft Dynamics - Sage Accounting
  • Self – motivated
