Director, Network Operations and Systems Service
The Director, Network Operations and Systems Service is responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, maintaining, and optimizing the University’s Information Technology infrastructure. She/he is also responsible for directing and coordinating activities associated with its daily operation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent qualifications
- First degree in Computer Studies with a major in Information Technology or Electrical Engineering with a major in Electronics or Telecommunications or equivalent.
- Cisco-certified or Microsoft-certified (Preferred).
- At least five (5) years’ experience in computer or network operations, or programming, including two (2) years in a supervisory role.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Good Grasp of current trends in Information Technology
- Knowledge of Telephony Standards and protocols inclusive of SIP, H323 etc.
- Working knowledge of and experience with Gigabit Network Topography.
- Working knowledge of database management and security
- Good knowledge of major Operating Systems including but not limited to Linux, UNIX and Microsoft Windows.
- VMware and Citrix Virtualization experience.
- Fortinet, and Huawei networking experience.
- Excellent knowledge of VMware, Virtual desktops, Storage Area Networks and other Computer hardware and software configuration, installation, and operation.
- Working knowledge of VOIP Telephony equipment, configuration, and operation.
- Knowledge of communication applications and telecommunication networks.
