Job Description
REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Manager /Assistant Manager /Housekeeping Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in general, in a clean and orderly manner. Demonstrates a professional, friendly, and warm welcoming demeanour to all guests and employees.
- Performs cleaning duties in all guest areas and back of house or public areas or laundry area (whichever assigned.
- Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Ensures housekeeping departmental standards are followed.
- Responds timely to guests’ special requests for miscellaneous items such as extra towels, etc.
- Maintains inventory of necessary supplies.
- Follows departmental policies and procedures.
- Follows all safety and sanitation policies
- Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
- Performs additional duties as needed.
- Notifying the maintenance department about broken appliances, light bulbs, or damage
- Upholding the hotel’s confidentiality and security standards
- Respecting “do not disturb” signs and the guest’s privacy
- Any other duties assigned

Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in general, in a clean and orderly manner. Demonstrates a professional, friendly, and warm welcoming demeanour to all guests and employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and other required equipment.
- Cleans rooms, hallways and restrooms.
- Cleans walls, ceilings, vents, moves furniture and turns mattress.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums and polishes floor.
- Dusts and polishes metalwork.
- Strips/collects soiled linen for laundering from rooms & cabana areas.
- Assists in keeping the lobby/front desk area clean, neat and free of debris and trash as needed.
- Receives linen supplies from laundry and stocks linen/amenity closets on guest floors in a neat organized manner.
- Walks all assigned floors throughout the day and end of shift to collect trash, soiled linen and other items as assigned by management.
- Refills the par stock of guest amenities and supplies in each housekeeping storage area.
- Helps the room attendants with heavy lifting and special cleaning projects as directed.
- Cleans all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures.
- Reports missing / found or damaged articles to the housekeeping supervisor and managers.
- Responds at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues.
- Handles any tasks assigned by the supervisors as needed.
