Job Description - Quality & Safety Officer
Quality
The incumbent has responsibility to ensure through inspection testing and monitoring, that all quality parameters are met for our manufactured products, in order to ultimately satisfy our valued customers.
He/she will have direct involvement in the operations of the company.
The position requires working closely with the quality, production and warehouse personnel, Food Safety Officer, and providing assistance in technical matters to relevant departments by conducting timely investigations to define and resolve quality variances identified.
Safety
The incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day activities that affect the Environment, Health and Safety programs. Duties include developing and implementing a safe work environment, and performing safety audits in order to prevent injury to workers while reducing liability claims to the employer.
The Safety Officer is also responsible for ensuring that the company is in compliance with OSHA regulations; premises, equipment, gears and supplies are monitored and site inspections carried out.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors of Science Degree in food science or related
Audit Training
Certified first aider
OSHA training
Crises Management training- AEO Security Policies
Knowledgeable of HACCP, prerequisite and Food Safety Programmes
Valid Food Handlers’ permit
Root Cause Analysis
Minimum 1-2 years’ professional experience (with at least 1 year minimum internal).
