Job Summary
The primary objective of this role is to proactively market, sell, and expand the footprint of the Approved Retirement Scheme (ARS), while strategically cross-selling other VMPM products and services. The successful candidate will build strong client relationships, identify new market opportunities, and consistently achieve assigned sales targets to support VMPM’s strategic growth objectives.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- First Degree in Business Administration, Management Studies, Economics, Banking & Finance, Accounting or equivalent qualifications from a recognized tertiary institution.
CERTIFICATION
- The Jamaican Securities Certificate
MINUMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in sales, business development, client acquisition, relationship management, or customer-facing roles.
- Experience in a financial institution, insurance company, investment firm, pension administrator, wealth management firm, or other service-oriented organization would be an asset.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets, generate leads, and build and maintain client relationships.

Job Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Market and sell the Approved Retirement Scheme (ARS) to prospective individual and corporate clients.
- Identify, prospect, and engage potential clients through networking, cold calling, corporate presentations, and referrals.
- Promote and cross-sell other VMPM products and services to ensure comprehensive financial wellness solutions for clients.
- Consistently meet or exceed established monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct engaging and informative presentations on pension planning and VMPM products at corporate wellness events, staff meetings, and client onboarding sessions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, employers, strategic partners, and referral sources to support business growth and client retention.
- Engage prospective individual and corporate clients to identify needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, seminars, and educational sessions to individuals, groups, and corporate entities.
- Conduct timely follow-up activities to convert prospects into clients and maximize business opportunities.
- Attend expos, promotional events, business development activities, and other client engagement initiatives to generate new business opportunities.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new clients by ensuring all required documentation and regulatory requirements are completed accurately and within established service standards.
- Refer products and services across the VM Group in keeping with the integrated sales strategy.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new ARS prospects, guiding them seamlessly through the enrollment process.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on retirement planning, responding to client queries promptly and accurately.
- Collaborate with the Pension Administration team to ensure efficient processing of applications and swift resolution of any client issues.
Market Strategy & Reporting:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities.
- Build, maintain, and manage an active sales pipeline to support the achievement of individual and team sales objectives.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, market feedback, and activity updates to management.
- Assist in the development of targeted marketing campaigns and promotional strategies for the ARS and other VMPM products.
General
- Facilitate collaboration towards business process improvements/automation, towards improving efficiencies.
- Maintain individual and departmental activity trackers in accordance with established timelines.
- Maintain client onboarding application in accordance with established timelines.
- Update weekly report template with appropriate information to facilitate completion within established timelines.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with product and service offered.
- Facilitate compliance with KYC, POCA, FATCA and all other policies and procedures established by the company.
- Ensure information accessed is handled in accordance with the: VM Group Information Security (IS) policy, VM Group Data Protection Policy and the current Data Protection Act.
- Performs any other related duties assigned, and that are within the scope of your general duties.
