On Premise Specialist

The Commercial Team is responsible for establishing and developing endearing profitable consumer, customer and stakeholder relationship. We are seeking a strong team player, who is proactive, agile and has a can-do attitude to join our team in the role of On Premise Specialist. The mission of this role is to establish and develop long term profitable customer relationships, through continuous engagement, best in class customer service and execute strategies geared at improving J. Wray & Nephew’s brands value, volumes, distribution, knowledge and visibility. The incumbent reports directly to the Regional Promotions Coordinator.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
- Identify and nurture brand building and innovation opportunities in the On Premise channel
- Ensure attainment of business objectives for assigned geography through distribution improvements, pricing, back bar planogram management, MOQ optimization, and innovation proliferation
- Plan, optimize, manage and assess all promotional activities for the On-Trade business in assigned geography
- Reconcile customer concerns, problems and provide ongoing after sales support; liaising with back-office support teams as necessary
- Develop plans in collaboration with Regional Promotions Coordinator, On-Trade for the growth of assigned customers
- Influence, train and educate customer/consumer on brand, perfect serve, planogram and POSM use
- Build and maintain strong, actionable relationships to ensure “partner of choice” status for key account executions
- Use the Campari Way of Selling tools to influence and negotiate effectively to achieve positive outcomes
- Understand threats and report on competitors and owned brand activities in the On Trade which should cover pricing, distribution, visibility, volumes, trends, innovation and promotional activities
- Evaluate promotional activities, measure results and make suggestions for changes to activities as is necessary to maximize benefits in the marketplace (to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and optimize the usage and allocation of all promotional material and equipment
- Attend promotional events to ensure consistent representation of brand and corporate image
- Delivery of product support and POS materials to the promotion locations. Responsible for retrieving the equipment and any goods at the end of the promotions
- Assist with branding on trade/off trade premises as required and/or requested
- Update and maintain current route lists of active customers, road mapping and distribution of signage and bar painting activities
- Ensure key consumer decision corridors are appropriately branded
- Observe and maintain strict adherence to established health & safety policies and practices
Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
- At least One (1) year’ experience with promotional practices and implementation
- Minimum of Five (5) CXC passes or equivalent
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Punctuality and strong time management skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and focus on details
- Businesslike, meticulous, honest, self-assured and self-motivated
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite
- High level of flexibility
- Knowledge of branding requirements
- Knowledge of the Company’s products
Working Conditions
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment with distribution and offices.
- Work involves working in the external environment, attendance at promotional events, including at nights.
- Work involves constant standing, walking, occasional pushing, pulling, climbing, reaching, lifting and carrying of materials and products up to 40 lbs and over.
- The job includes exposure to wetness, noise, dirt, dust, darkness, poor lighting, elevated workplace and may require the use of safety equipment (Personal Protective Equipment - PPE).
- The incumbent must therefore be able to comfortably wear the PPE necessary to safely carry out the job function.
- Flexibility is required to accommodate unexpected changes in priority that may occur from time to time.
- Incumbent must own and be able to operate a light commercial van.
