FACTORY WORKER

 (PRODUCTION  OR WAREHOUSE DEPARTMENT)

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing functions in the company’s manufacturing or warehouse processes in a systematic, safe and efficient manner, adhering to its standard operating procedures and policies.

Requirements:

ü  High School graduate ( proficiency in literacy & numeracy)

ü  Advantage -  at least 2 cxc subjects or equivalent City & Guilds including mathematics & English language

ü  Experience in a food manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage

ü  Possess a valid Food Handlers’ Permit.

ü  Training in HACCP awareness and good manufacturing practices, SQF

ü  NIS, TRN , birth certificate, government-issued ID, police record no older than 1 year

ü  Two written references

    A police record will also be required.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

ü  Knowledge and application of measurements and conversion factors

ü  High levels of concentration, comprehension and awareness

ü  Operating and handling  heavy duty factory equipment used on the job

ü  Ability to lift weights

Performance Criteria:

ü  Must be a team player

ü  Display high levels of honesty, integrity  

ü  Display high level of accuracy in performing duties

ü  Good communicator

ü  Excellent attendance, punctuality and good work ethics.

Successful candidates may be required to sit an assessment test
