JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Representative – Health & Wellness Brands is responsible for strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and retail partners while supporting the execution of sales and marketing initiatives for Jamieson and future Health & Wellness brands.
This role plays a key part in driving brand visibility, supporting commercial objectives, and enhancing customer engagement through effective communication, strategic field execution, and professional relationship management. The incumbent will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support brand growth, gather market intelligence, and ensure consistent execution of marketing and promotional initiatives across assigned territories.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong balance of scientific understanding, commercial awareness, communication skills, and relationship-building abilities, with the ability to represent the company and its brands professionally and credibly within the healthcare and retail environment.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Healthcare Professional & Customer Engagement Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals, pharmacists, pharmacy teams, and retail partners within assigned territories.
- Conduct regular visits to pharmacies, medical offices, and other relevant accounts to support brand visibility, product awareness, and commercial objectives.
- Communicate product information clearly, accurately, and professionally while tailoring discussions to customer needs and business opportunities.
- Develop and execute monthly territory coverage plans to ensure effective account management and field presence.
- Support customer engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening brand recommendation and customer confidence.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, credibility, and ethical conduct in all customer interactions.
Sales & Marketing Support Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of educational activities, product launches and wellness activations.
- Assist in strengthening brand positioning and visibility across healthcare and retail channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support sales growth and brand objectives.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback and provide relevant insights and recommendations to management.
- Support the distribution and tracking of product samples and promotional materials in accordance with company guidelines.
Communication & Brand Representation Responsibilities:
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of assigned brands, products, ingredients, and relevant healthcare information.
- Communicate brand benefits and product information in a compliant, customer-focused, and engaging manner.
- Represent the company and its brands professionally during customer interactions, activations, events, and promotional activities.
- Support the delivery of presentations, product discussions, and in-person engagements where required.
Reporting & Administrative Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports relating to field activities, customer visits, activations, and territory performance.
- Provide timely feedback and market intelligence gathered from customer interactions and field activities.
- Ensure all assigned administrative tasks, documentation, and reports are completed accurately and within required timelines.
- Perform any other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, Health Sciences, Pharmacy Assistance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, marketing, trade, or medical representative roles preferred.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, wellness, or retail industry would be an asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Any specialized training in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, or Healthcare-related fields would be an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle in good working condition.
- Willingness to work flexible hours where required.
