OPTOMETRIST

Core Function - Assess the members re ophthalmic lens, material filters, etc

Key Responsibilities

• Use measuring and diagnostic instruments to apply visual tests to members 
• Manage pathological cases detected (if any) referring them to the Ophthalmologist or the corresponding professional for proper treatment.
• Provide follow up to special cases in order to resolve any issues
• Ensure the calibration and correct operation of instruments in accordiance with technical specifications.
• Preparation of reports as required
• Responsible for the overall management of the Optical Centre
• Advise members regarding the use of eyeglasses and optical aids
