PAYROLL CLERK
We are inviting applications from mature and suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Payroll Clerk.
Job Summary
The Payroll Clerk is responsible for accurately processing fortnightly payroll for employees across multiple locations. The incumbent will ensure, statutory compliance, and the maintenance of accurate payroll records in accordance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Process fortnightly payroll accurately and within established deadlines.
- Maintain accurate payroll records.
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and management.
- Assist with payroll audit requirements.
- Ensure confidentiality of payroll information.
- Prepare NHT letters
Qualifications & Experience
- Associate Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years’ experience in payroll processing or accounting.
- Sound knowledge of Jamaican payroll practices and statutory deductions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software applications.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
