Job Purpose
To lead and drive the company’s sales function by ensuring sustainable revenue growth, strong customer retention, effective market positioning, and disciplined commercial execution aligned with operational capability and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Commercial Strategy
Commercial Strategy and Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute a commercial strategy aligned with the company’s growth targets.
- Identify and penetrate key sectors, including Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Projects.
- Drive new business acquisition and increase revenue per customer.
- Develop pricing strategies that protect profit margins while maintaining market competitiveness.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify business opportunities.
2. Sales Pipeline and Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline, ensuring all opportunities are tracked from lead generation to closure.
- Conduct weekly and monthly pipeline review sessions with clear status updates, action items, and conversion focus.
- Ensure regular engagement with key accounts to support customer retention and revenue growth across major sectors, including Oil & Gas and Manufacturing.
- Pursue medium- and large-scale project opportunities to expand the company’s commercial portfolio.
3. Business Development
- Maintain key client accounts through structured account planning, business meetings, and site visits.
- Develop and implement strategies to generate new business opportunities.
- Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, proposals, and commercial bids.
- Ensure market competitiveness through rate analysis, pricing reviews, and benchmarking.
4. Agent, Carrier and Partner Coordination
- Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, and business partners for pricing, service options, and project opportunities.
- Ensure agent and partner selection aligns with company policy, including network membership, credit checks, and formal agreements.
- Support the development and maintenance of strategic agency relationships.
- Facilitate inter-company meetings, partner reviews, and face-to-face engagements to strengthen business relationships.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of ten years’ relevant experience in a similar environment.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a management position.
- Proven track record in sales and revenue growth.
- Experience in freight and logistics management.
- Marketing experience would be considered an asset.
- Degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
