It is the responsibility of the Assistant Chief Steward to support in the supervision and management of the stewarding staff, ensuring efficiency in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen utensils and equipment.
This position is also responsible for coordinating the logistics of equipment layout and storage, as well as assisting in inventory control and the implementation of hygiene and safety procedures, keeping the kitchens clean, organized and functional for daily operation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Steward in the planning of schedules and assignment of duties for the stewarding staff.
- Assist in the planning and execution of cleaning and maintenance tasks in the kitchen and service areas.
- Supervise stewarding staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct periodic inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory of stewarding supplies, placing orders and adjusting as necessary.
