DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers daily.
- Performs general maintenance on false ceiling and flooring of the buildings.
- Upkeeps the garden areas.
- Upkeeps the external and internal paint of the building.
- Upkeeps the internal and external drainage system.
- Maintains general restocking of bulk items for hospital or any other department when required.
- Assists with plumbing, basic electrical and janitorial duties as required.
- Disposes of biomedical and household waste according to standard operating procedures and safety regulations.
- Provides general assistance to contractors or service providers at SMC when required.
- Performs any other related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES |
KNOWLEDGE: | - General knowledge of maintenance, repair procedures, tools, equipment, safety practices, and basic troubleshooting related to commercial property upkeep
- Valid Drivers Permit [Class 4 Manual]

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: | - Must be customer service oriented.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to think creatively and to demonstrate flexibility.
- Ability to work effectively under stress.
- Ability to use initiative and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate integrity and maintain confidentiality
- Basic electrical skills
- Advanced plumbing skills

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: |
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a related position desirable but not essential.
- Basic First Aid Training
- Certificate in Plumbing from an accredited insitituion

OTHER: | - Must be able to work a shift system, weekends and public holidays.
- Police Certificate of Good Character
- Resides within a 10-mile radius of San Fernando
