Career Opportunity - General Manager
Role Summary
Working collaborative with our client, Profiles Caribbean Inc. is seeking to hire a self-driven and experienced General Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our client’s company. The General Manager will be responsible for driving company strategy, maintaining profitable operations, and ensuring that employees are aligned with the company’s mission and vision. He/she will manage the administration, sales, and overall operations of the company in Barbados.
Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee, guide, and manage matters of sales and operation of Prime products, parts, services, rental, and finance.
- Manage legal and administrative matters, and contractual obligations related to the company.
- Manage official corporate communications.
- Oversee the company’s security, health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
- Oversee the human resources and training development.
- Manage company-related disciplinary matters.
- Manage the company’s public image through social media, marketing, and advertising.
- Maintain accurate records and effective tracking of the inventory of parts and new equipment.
- Manage sales and rental inventory transfers.
- Oversee & ensure the company complies with after-sales service requirements.
- Manage the annual stock-take, audit reporting, and justifications.
- Manage dealership reports related to annual finances, sales performance, and sales projections.
- Manage and protect all company assets and all related insurance requirements.
- Administer tax obligations and payments, through the requisite Governmental agency.
- Manage the administration of National Insurance payments and reconciliations.
- Function as liaison for communication with the company’s bank.
- Responsible for the disbursement of finance payables through the Imprest and the regular accounts.
- Accountable for the payment of overseas suppliers.
- Accountable for the settlement of financial obligations to the company – accounts receivables.
- Responsible for management of the corporate data, in both electronic (Information Technology) and physical formats.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area compliant with the Safety & Health at Work Act.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar fields is preferred.
- A Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing or similar field will be an asset.
- At least seven years' experience in a senior management role of which at least five years’ must have been in a General Manager or similar role.
- Technical acumen and/or a technical background is required.
- Experience with strategic planning, hands-on operations management experience, with responsibility for financials and creating and managing budgets is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience and expertise in developing and motivating teams.
- Experience in inventory management and customer service.
- Flexibility, Integrity, and dependability.
- Good organisational skills.
- Knowledge/Ability to conduct market research and statistical analysis would be an asset.
