PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Brand Execution & Activation
• Execute and localize principal-driven brand strategies into practical, in-market activation plans.
• Lead the development and execution of trade-focused promotions, activations, and visibility programs to drive sales and
brand presence.
• Ensure all brand activities are aligned with principal guidelines and positioning.
Commercial Delivery
• Partner closely with Sales to drive distribution, availability, and rate of sale across channels.
• Identify and act on in-market opportunities to improve sales performance and brand visibility.
• Support achievement of sales and volume targets through effective activation and execution.
Trade & Customer Engagement
• Work closely with the Export Team, Territory Managers, Key Accounts Supervisor, Sales Manager and Country Sales
team to support the execution of promotional and activation initiatives within the market.
• Support strong in-market execution by coordinating visibility, merchandising, and activation activities across key
accounts and trade channels.
• Conduct regular trade visits to assess distribution, merchandising standards, promotional execution, and competitive
activity, and provide timely market feedback to internal stakeholders and Principal teams.
Market Insight & Intelligence
• Conduct ongoing in-market observation and informal research to identify consumer, shopper, and trade insights.
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and promotional trends within the territory.
• Provide structured and actionable feedback to principal brands and internal stakeholders on market performance,
consumer behaviour, and execution realities.
• Support evaluation of promotions, activations, and new product launches through post-activity analysis and key
learnings.
Digital Marketing & Content Execution
• Coordinate and execute localized digital marketing activities in alignment with Principal brand guidelines and
campaigns.
• Develop and manage locally relevant content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and
other relevant channels.
• Maintain and monitor assigned social media pages to ensure timely, engaging, and brand-aligned communication.
• Collaborate with ABIL Marketing teams on digital campaigns, promotional content, and brand messaging.
• Monitor digital engagement and provide feedback on content performance, consumer interaction, and emerging trends
within the territory.
Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination
• Act as the primary local liaison with principal brand teams (e.g. SS, CC, CB, Cereals) to ensure alignment and timely
execution.
• Coordinate with principal Marketing teams to ensure consistency and compliance with broader brand frameworks.
• Ensure clear communication and alignment between Sales, Marketing, and principals on all activation initiatives.
Budget & Administration
• Manage and track A&P spend in alignment with agreed plans; ensure efficient and ROI-driven execution.
• Prepare and submit required reports, including monthly performance updates and post-activity evaluations.
• Ensure timely processing of supplier claims and A&P recovery documentation.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
• 3–5 years’ experience in sales, trade marketing, brand activation, or related roles, preferably in FMCG
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Event Management.
• Strong understanding of distribution, retail execution, and trade dynamics
• Ability to translate strategy into practical, executable plans
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
