Our client is seeking to fill the position of: Agricultural Officer
SALARY: $15,000.00 to $17,000.00
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Continuously source and negotiate supplies of fruits and vegetables taking into account sea-
sonal availability, market price fluctuations and production requirements.
Monitor receipt of all produce to ensure that they conform to established specifications.
Conduct field visits to monitor the overall availability of produce and progress made by farm-
ers.
Monitor usage of insecticides, etc. to ensure that raw materials conform to international
standards.
Supervise staff in accordance with established manufacturing procedures and quality control
guidelines and provide oversight to the Fruit Area, proposing and implementing process im-
provements
Maintain close working relationship with internal stakeholders in order to prioritise and fulfil
production schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
B.Sc. Agriculture or Agronomy, and minimum of 3 years related work experience, including a
working knowledge of local agriculture
Possession of a valid Driver’s Licence with the ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
Good knowledge of analytics, reporting and staff supervision techniques
Strong comfort in using Microsoft Office Suite
Any other suitable combination of qualifications and experience
