Salary Range: $3,501,126 - $4,709,163 per annum
Job Purpose
To ensure that the content created by the Authority is strategically geared towards educating its stakeholders of the benefits of being in Special Economic Zones and maintaining its relevance in the international Space.
Strategic Focus
• To write and publish articles geared towards the welfare of the Authority’s presence in the international space.
• To conduct relevant and strategic research geared towards edifying the Authority and its stakeholders of best-in-class action plans to promote and maintain the relevance of the Authority’s mandate.
• To support the determination and provision of resources needed for the establishment, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the quality management system.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Motion Media, Communications, or a related field, from an accredited college or university or professional work experience in Web Design and Communication.
• Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven Research Management Skills.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Content Management.
Specific Knowledge & Skills
• Knowledge and experience in marketing communications, web, and social media tools (e.g., Word Press, SEO, You Tube, Face book, etc.).
• Sound knowledge of with HTML, XML, TSP, CSS etc. as well as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, and Flash.
• Expertise in the use of Microsoft office products.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
To Produce Well Written Articles and other Content Handles that Supports the Organizational Strategic Objectives
• To write and vet speeches for the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Management Team upon demand.
• To write and vet speeches for the Prime Minister or any other representative of the Authority, and to ensure its compliance with the Authority’s and by extension, the Country’s National Strategic objectives,
• To liaise with the Social Web Officer to ensure that the content being shared externally is accurate and in compliance with the Authority’s and by extension, the Country’s National Strategic objectives.
• To provide spiels for internal or external communication projects being facilitated by the Authority.
• To provide administrative support to the Director of the Sub-Unit, to ensure the execution of internal or external projects facilitated by the Authority.
• Assists in preparing content for blogs, promotional posts for social networks, and websites.
• To manage an inventory of articles and other content to ensure the timely provision of needed information for the Authority’s usage both internally and externally.
• Create innovative methods to promote a culture of content writing and sharing within the Authority, to help demystify the novelty of the Logistics Management Industry.
• To prepare content for any emerging contact with any media houses, to ensure the consistency of information being disseminated by the Authority.
• Performs own performance self-assessment and agrees performance assessment with his/her manager.
To Provide Relevant Research To fuel Content for the Authority’s Public Relations.
• To create a research hub for the Authority in relation to content.
• Liaise with the Integrity Assurance Unit to corroborate findings prior to publication.
• Provide research findings on the industries relevant to SEZ regime and to inform the Authority of strategies to attract the right stakeholders.
• To conduct focus groups both internal and external to the Authority and produce findings through relevant articles.
• To mandate a Sustainable Development Goals, Register and ensure that research, findings and resulting articles are consistent with these objectives.
• Provide evaluative tools through consistent research to determine the best-in-class strategies for the Authority’s public Relations.
• Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of a website in search results.
• Facilitates and engages meetings with relevant stakeholders to ensure the validity and relevance of the Authority’s content both internally and externally.
To Support Control of Documented Information
• To support the maintenance of documented information required by the International Standard to support the Authority’s Quality Management System.
• To ensure documented information are available and suitable for use and is adequately protected.
