Key Functions and Duties:
- Repair and maintain Air conditioning units, ice machines, broiler ovens, pizza ovens, refrigerators, deep fryers, and walk-in coolers/freezers, as well as small appliances.
- Ensure that equipment is regularly inspected, cleaned, and serviced to ensure optimum performance and longevity.
- Conduct equipment repair to uphold the reliability and safety of essential kitchen equipment.
- Utilized the work order management system to efficiently handle and complete work requests.
- Install new equipment and address issues like leaks, faulty wiring controls, and worn-out or defective parts.
- Collaborate with fellow maintenance workers, company officials, and staff to devise effective solutions for maintenance problems.
- Respond promptly to emergency equipment repair calls, even during off-hours.
Be open to performing other tasks as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to the overall efficiency of the maintenance team.
Required Experience: Minimum of 8 years hands-on installation, repairs and maintenance of equipment.
Key Competencies: Welding, electronic/electrical systems, propane gas technology, mechanical systems and troubleshooting. Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining equipment, emphasizing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance; effective communication and ensure oprational safety and completing the job satisfactorily.
Other requirements: Valid driver's licence; worked with high voltage; irregular working hours; on-call 24 hrs
