We are seeking a Group IT Manager to lead the organization’s technology environment and build a structured, reliable, and scalable IT function across the Group.
The Role
The Group IT Manager will be responsible for leading the Group’s IT operations, infrastructure, and systems strategy.
This role will oversee all technology-related functions across multiple business units while ensuring system reliability, security, and alignment with business objectives.
The Group IT Manager will serve as the central point of accountability for IT performance, working closely with leadership to improve efficiency, strengthen governance, and support business growth through technology.
Strategic Priorities for the Role
- Establishing structure and discipline across IT operations
- Improving system reliability, uptime, and performance
- Strengthening IT governance, policies, and security frameworks
- Enhancing data visibility and reporting across the organization
- Supporting integration of systems across multiple business units
- Managing vendors and optimizing technology investments
Key Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the Group’s IT strategy
- Align technology initiatives with business objectives
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology for business growth and efficiency
- Provide strategic guidance to leadership on technology investments and priorities
- Ensure effective execution of IT initiatives across infrastructure, systems, and business applications
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Oversee all IT infrastructure, networks, and systems
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and scalability
- Lead system upgrades, integrations, and modernization initiatives
- Ensure effective support structures are in place to maintain operational continuity
IT Governance, Security & Risk
- Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and data protection requirements
- Lead cybersecurity strategy and risk mitigation efforts
- Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Data, Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Define and lead the Group’s data and reporting strategy
- Establish KPIs and performance reporting frameworks
- Oversee dashboards and reporting platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power BI)
- Promote a data-driven culture across all business units
- Support the development and automation of recurring reports and insights
Automation & Digital Transformation
- Drive adoption of automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate)
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through digital solutions
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies where they deliver measurable value (e.g., AI, IoT)
- Establish governance for automation and emerging technologies.
- Support the design and implementation of workflow automation and low/no-code solutions
Business Systems & Process Improvement
- Oversee business applications (ERP, CRM, operational systems)
- Support system integration across business units
- Partner with departments to improve processes through technology
- Translate business requirements into effective system and process solutions
- Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers
- Act as the primary liaison between IT and business units
- Ensure vendor performance meets organizational standards
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage IT budgets and optimize resource allocation
- Evaluate and recommend technology investments
- Ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team
- Establish accountability and performance standards
- Support continuous learning and capability development
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT leader with experience managing complex systems across multiple functions.
They will bring a combination of technical expertise, operational discipline, and leadership capability to build and manage a structured IT environment.
Qualifications
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CISCO are an advantage.
Experience
- 7–10+ years of progressive IT experience
- Experience in IT management or leadership roles
- Strong background in infrastructure, systems, and network management
- Experience managing vendors and IT projects
- Exposure to multi-entity or multi-business environments is an advantage
