Position Summary
This opportunity suits a proactive and results-oriented professional with demonstrated leadership strength, sound decision-making ability, and a proven background in security governance and compliance management. The successful candidate will take ownership of driving security initiatives, strengthening control environments, and ensuring adherence to both regulatory and organizational standards. The role is central to safeguarding operations while maintaining strict compliance across all functional areas.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct the design, rollout, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise-wide security frameworks, policies, and operational procedures.
- Ensure all security-related practices remain aligned with applicable legislation, regulatory expectations, and internal governance standards.
- Manage incident handling processes, including documentation, investigation, resolution, and preventative action tracking.
- Conduct and oversee inquiries into security incidents, breaches, employee misconduct, and operational discrepancies.
- Maintain oversight of compliance with external regulatory requirements, client obligations, certification standards, and internal audit controls.
- Coordinate audit readiness activities, ensuring documentation is current, gaps are addressed, and teams are consistently prepared for review.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to reinforce a culture of accountability, risk awareness, and security compliance across the organization.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least five (5) years’ experience in a leadership role within security operations, compliance, or regulatory environments.
- Strong working knowledge of investigative methodologies, audit processes, and industry security standards.
- Well-developed organizational, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical judgment in handling sensitive matters.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments while making timely, sound decisions.
