DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical faults on-site and at associated facilities, including single-phase and three-phase power systems.
- Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
- Monitor and record daily temperature readings in critical areas, especially the Low Voltage Room, and respond promptly to any irregularities.
- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on autoclaves to ensure consistent and safe functionality.
- Carry out scheduled inspections of electrical systems and equipment in the compressor room and other operational areas using a rotational/roster approach.
- Monitor the performance and condition of all electrical equipment, identifying potential issues and implementing timely corrective actions.
- Oversee the operation of emergency generators, ensuring readiness at all times, and monitor fuel levels in reserve tanks to maintain adequate supply.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and incident records.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to support overall facility performance.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns.

KNOWLEDGE: | - Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase power distribution.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment such as autoclaves, compressors, and generators.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Knowledge of electrical maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of safety practices.
- Knowledge of safety standards and electrical codes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: |
- Certification or Diploma in Electrical Installation, Industrial Electrical Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience [at least three (3) years] working as an Industrial Electrician or in a similar role.
- Wireman’s Licence

OTHER: | - Must be able to work a shift system, weekends and public holidays.
- Available and on-call to address any troubleshooting issues or emergencies that may arise outside of regular working hours
