Vault is a non-bank private mortgage lending company with a progressive and friendly work environment, fostering a culture of growth. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Mortgage Fulfillment Officer to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing mortgage files from the commitment stage through to funding. You will collaborate closely with Mortgage Underwriters and Business Development to ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant. This position demands a high level of organization, the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize mortgage files from commitment to funding.
- Verify and validate all mortgage and client information for accuracy and completeness.
- Review documentation to ensure compliance with file-specific conditions and company policies; follow up with mortgage brokers for outstanding items.
- Conduct AML and KYC verification for all Borrowers and Guarantors in accordance with company policies.
- Apply strong pipeline management skills to monitor loans in progress and proactively collect outstanding documentation.
- Instruct lawyers and review legal documentation to ensure alignment with the Lenders' credit and underwriting standards.
- Confirm with legal partners that all closing conditions are met and the mortgage has been successfully closed.
- Identify and escalate issues as needed, working with Underwriters or Managers to resolve them.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless file closings.
- Stay current on mortgage underwriting policies, procedures, and product offerings.
- Provide timely, accurate, and professional responses to brokers and partners.
