About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Group CEO (CEO), the General Manager, Finance & Administration will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for ensuring the financial integrity, governance, and corporate support infrastructure of the JSE Group.
The role plays a central part in aligning financial resources with strategic priorities, enabling sound decision-making, and ensuring that the organization operates with discipline, transparency, and efficiency.

You will operate at the core of the organization’s financial and administrative engine—ensuring that the JSE Group is well-positioned to deliver on its mandate with strong governance and operational support.
Key areas of impact include:
Financial Strategy & Performance Management
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting across the Group
- Provide strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making and investment priorities
- Ensure alignment of financial resources with organizational strategy
Financial Operations & Governance
- Oversee accounting, treasury, procurement, and financial reporting functions
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with financial and regulatory standards
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of financial reporting
Risk, Legal & Regulatory Compliance
- Provide oversight of enterprise risk management and compliance frameworks
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and governance standards
- Oversee Legal Services and Company Secretariat functions, supporting Board governance
Corporate Services & Enterprise Support
- Lead and integrate key corporate functions including Human Resources, Information Technology, and administrative services
- Ensure that corporate support functions are efficient, responsive, and aligned to business needs
Technology & Digital Enablement
- Oversee IT strategy and infrastructure to support operational resilience and innovation
- Ensure cybersecurity, system integrity, and digital capability across the Group
Organizational Effectiveness & Talent Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership in building a high-performance, accountable organizational culture
- Support talent development, workforce planning, and succession initiatives
Enterprise Collaboration & Performance
- Work closely with the COO and other General Managers to ensure alignment between financial strategy and operational execution
- Enable integrated planning and performance management across the Group
Your Leadership Scope will include direct oversight for the following Group functions:
- Legal Services & Company Secretariat
- Risk & Compliance
- Information Technology
- Human Resources
- Financial Control
You will also work in close partnership with peer executives, including the Chief Operating Officer (COO), General Manager JCSD, and General Manager JCSD Trust Services Limited, to ensure enterprise-wide alignment, governance, and performance and act in the absence of the CEO from time to time.
About the Person
We are seeking a disciplined, strategic, and forward-thinking finance leader who brings both technical excellence and enterprise leadership capability.
Experience
- 12–15+ years in finance, accounting, financial services, or related fields
- 7–10+ years in senior leadership roles
- Proven experience in financial management, governance, and organizational leadership
- Experience in regulated environments and complex, multi-entity organizations
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA, Finance, Accounting, or related field)
- A professional certification such as ACCA or CPA or equivalent is strongly preferred.
Knowledge & Expertise, Leaership & Competencies
- Strong expertise in financial strategy, reporting, and governance
- Deep understanding of risk management, compliance, and corporate governance frameworks
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at the executive level
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- High integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail
