JOB SPECIFICATION AND DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Logistics Clerk
REPORTS TO: Senior Logistics Officer / Supervisor
COLLABORATES WITH: All DC departments
Purpose:
- Ensure that all administrative functions of the department are executed timely and in accordance to company policies and procedures.
Main duties and Responsibilities
- Execute administrative tasks.
- Execution of all tasks that impact inventory accuracy, and expedite the delivery or reception process in a timely manner
- Provide customer service support for both internal and external customers.
- Processing of documents to enable timely and accurate payments of suppliers and contractors
Other Duties
Any other duties that may be assigned.
Key Performance indicators (KPIs)
- Stock variance below tolerable limit of 0.25%
- CSAT score above 85%
- Containers turnaround within 5 days.
- Branch deliveries 95% of schedule
- 95% of quarterly stock variance reconciled and submitted within the Company’s guidelines.
Required skills and experience
- Computer literate.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills.
- All-round knowledge of all products sold by the Company and the ability to distinguish between products.
- General knowledge of all departments and processes of the Distribution Centre.
Required Personal Characteristics
- Must be a team person, as the job requires close interface with all other departments.
- Must be able to accept responsibility and be result oriented.
- Must be able to handle large volume of transactions and multi task.
- Must be able to communicate easily with a wide cross section of individuals
Required Education
5 CXC’s inclusive of Mathematics and English
