The Audio-Visual Support is responsible for conducting set up, configure and support audio visual systems used during internal and external events.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
ü NVQ-J Level 5 Certification or a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in disciplines such as: Communications, Marketing or Business or equivalent
ü At least two (2) years’ relevant work experience in a comparable business/work environment where the following are practiced: Advertising or Marketing Company, Graphic Design and Creative Management Company, Website and Software Design Organisation, or Graphics Design Department of an Organisation
KEY COMPETENCIES:
ü Excellent Organisational skills
ü Excellent audio-visual and/or conference centre operations skills
ü Technical aptitude and knowledge of integrated audio-visual systems
ü Excellent Event Management skills
KEY DUTIES:
ü Works with Clients/Customers to understand the audio and visual requirements for events
ü Sets ups audio visual components including projectors, displays, audio mixers, microphones, simultaneous interpretation systems and cabling
ü Performs routine and preventative maintenance of audio-visual equipment
ü Assists with editing of digital images as necessary, utilizing various editing and graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop
ü Maintains record of equipment inventory and troubleshoots equipment problems
ü Mounts or hangs TVs, monitors, CCTV security cameras and projectors
ü Oversees the setup of video conferences, computers for presentations and collaborative online presentations and conferences
ü Troubleshoots computer and video conference equipment if malfunctions occur
ü Configures laptops to work with audio visual systems
ü Documents all reported Audio Visual issues and prepares tracking logs
ü Conducts testing of audio-visual systems before events
ü Conducts testing of audio-visual systems at regular intervals
ü Provides technical support and troubleshoots issues during events if required
