Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Lead electrical product sales strategy across retail, wholesale, and project-based clients.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in commercial, industrial, and government sectors.
- Maintain and grow key customer accounts and strategic partnerships.
- Set and monitor sales targets, pricing strategies, and profit margins.
- Provide technical sales support and product recommendations to clients.
Procurement & Supply Chain Management
- Oversee procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and components.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Evaluate and approve vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and compliance.
- Manage stock levels to ensure optimal inventory turnover and minimal stockouts or overstock.
- Monitor global and local market trends affecting electrical product availability and pricing.
Department Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the electrical sales and procurement team.
- Set departmental KPIs and ensure performance alignment with company objectives.
- Conduct training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and procurement best practices.
- Foster a high-performance, accountable, and customer-focused culture.
Financial & Operational Management
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze sales performance, procurement costs, and gross margins.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and key clients.
- Resolve escalated customer and supplier issues efficiently.
- Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and project teams for smooth operations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–10+ years of experience in electrical sales, procurement, or distribution.
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams and departmental operations.
- Strong knowledge of electrical products (e.g., wiring, lighting, switchgear, industrial components, renewable systems preferred).
- Experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and inventory control.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving sales targets and margin growth.
