SCL (Jamaica) Ltd., located in Kingston, Jamaica is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to identify new business opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and drive sales growth in the engineering and construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the engineering and construction sectors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Conduct market research to assess potential clients' needs.
- Present and demonstrate the value of our engineering and construction solutions.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to clients.
Customer Relationship Management
- Provide technical support and advice to clients on product selection.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and by addressing feedback.
Sales Planning & Strategy
- Achieve assigned sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with the sales team to share market insights and best practices.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions.
- Submit weekly sales reports every Monday or the next working day if Monday is a holiday.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum five (5) CXC subjects, including Mathematics and English Language.
- Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (technical background in engineering or construction preferred).
- 3-5 years of sales experience in the engineering and construction products industry or a related field.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets, developing a sales pipeline, and driving business growth.
