Bakery and Deli Attendants

 Progressive Grocers of Jamaica Limited is seeking applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Bakery and Deli Attendants.

Key Responsibilities 

The Bakery/Deli Attendant will assist with baking, cake decorating, food preparation, packaging, pricing and merchandising baked or deli goods, and assist with overall functioning of the Department. 

Requirements:  

• A minimum of 2 years baking experience with the ability to adapt to standard recipes
• 3 CXC passes including Food and Nutrition
• At least 2 years cooking experience at a restaurant or similar operation.
• Basic knowledge of health and food safety standards
• Knowledge of baking using mixes, cake decorating and frosting.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to lift, bend and stand for long periods.
