The Bank of Saint Lucia is seeking an exceptional and commercially astute leader to join our senior management team as Senior Manager – Corporate Banking Services.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving the Bank’s corporate banking strategy, strengthening client relationships, and delivering sustainable growth across loans, deposits, and fee income. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping the Bank’s financial performance, managing risk, and positioning the organisation for long-term success.
The Opportunity
As Senior Manager, you will lead and transform the Corporate Banking function into a high-performing, client-focused, and results-driven business unit. You will operate at both strategic and operational levels, influencing decision-making, guiding investment priorities, and ensuring excellence in execution.
You will manage a portfolio of high-value corporate relationships, while leading a team of professionals to deliver strong financial returns, sound credit decisions, and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Lead the implementation and achievement of corporate banking strategic and operational plans
- Contribute to executive-level strategic thinking and business planning
- Identify market opportunities and drive revenue growth across loans, deposits, and fee-based services
- Build and strengthen a high-value corporate client portfolio
Portfolio & Credit Management
- Maintain and grow a portfolio of corporate relationships with a strong focus on profitability and risk management
- Apply sound credit policies and benchmarks in evaluating lending proposals
- Monitor portfolio performance and proactively identify and manage credit risks
- Ensure strong lending administration, including exposure management and security compliance
Performance & Financial Management
- Monitor performance against targets, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions
- Drive profitability through revenue optimisation and disciplined cost management
- Contribute to budgeting and financial planning processes
Operational Excellence
- Establish and maintain an effective department structure aligned to business growth
- Ensure efficient execution of corporate banking operations and service delivery
- Promote a strong sale and service culture across the team
- Introduce initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and client experience
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Identify strategic and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and the Bank’s Code of Conduct
- Foster a strong risk and compliance culture within the division
- Maintain the safety and soundness of the Bank’s lending portfolio
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide strong, credible leadership to the Corporate Banking team
- Build capability, accountability, and high performance across the department
- Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture aligned with the Bank’s values
- Develop future leaders and strengthen succession within the division
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a leader who combines strategic insight with commercial acumen and operational discipline.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related discipline
- Significant experience in corporate banking, credit, or financial services
- Proven experience managing corporate portfolios and driving revenue growth
- Strong knowledge of credit risk, lending practices, and financial analysis
