Driver (Box Truck – Island wide Deliveries)

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Driver to operate a box body delivery truck (10-tonne and under), supporting island wide deliveries of supporting island wide deliveries of industrial and commercial goods in various packaged forms

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, working as part of a small team, and taking pride in completing deliveries properly and safely. You will work closely with a sideman and be expected to assist with loading, offloading, and general warehouse support when required. 

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box body truck (non-articulated) for island wide deliveries
• Work closely with a sideman to load, secure, deliver, and offload goods
• Deliver drummed and packaged industrial products (drums, kegs, boxes, trays) in good condition
• Collect payments where required and accurately reconcile deliveries
• Conduct vehicle checks and report defects promptly
• Maintain a professional, courteous attitude with customers
• Assist with basic warehouse duties and preparation of deliveries when not on the road
• Follow all safety procedures, especially when handling industrial materials

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience driving box trucks (10-tonne or smaller)
• Valid Open General Driver’s Licence (Articulated licence not required for this role)
• At least 3 CSEC subjects
• Defensive driving certification is an asset
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good judgement, reliability, and time management

• This role does not involve trailer driving or articulated units
• This role does not include sales or commission-based earnings
• Driver is expected to assist with deliveries and warehouse support

Physical Requirements

• Occasionally shift and manoeuvre products in drums for loading and off loading
• Required to wear safety shoes and other safety gear
• Required to lift products with weight up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in warehouse and outdoor environments
• Wear required safety gear

Work Environment

• Combination of road, customer locations, and warehouse operations
• Exposure to varying weather and industrial conditions
