Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, staff supervision, and compliance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise all kitchen staff during shifts
- Ensure consistency in food preparation, taste, and presentation
- Monitor kitchen workflow to ensure timely service delivery
- Enforce hygiene, sanitation, and Ministry of Health standards
- Manage inventory, stock rotation (FIFO), and reduce waste
- Train, coach, and discipline kitchen staff where necessary
- Assist with menu execution and portion control
- Step into cooking role when required during peak hours
Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
- Culinary certification required
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Experience with Jamaican and international cuisine
- Ability to work under pressure and manage teams
Additional Requirements:
- Valid Food Handlers Permit
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
