The Grand Court deals with a wide range of criminal and civil matters. It is headed by the Hon. Chief Justice, Margaret Ramsay-Hale, and currently has eight additional puisne judges. The successful applicant will primarily sit as a judge in cases in the Civil Division and also in the Family Division of the Grand Court but may be required by the Hon. Chief Justice to sit in other divisions from time to time, depending upon operational need.
The Civil Division of the Grand Court handles work ranging from probate and administration, guardianship applications, personal injury and contract disputes to appeals from the summary court and other tribunals and judicial review of administrative decisions.
