Job Summary:
The incumbent will work as part of the IT Business Support team to provide effective IT business systems support for users across all companies and markets of the Guardsman Group. The role includes responsibility for IT helpdesk support and direct support of business services and their underlying systems. The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities, with project management being an important part of the job function.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertake IT projects as instructed by the IT Operations Manager or as required by the business
- Translate customer needs and requirements into application and technology solutions, including research, evaluation, design, and implementation
- Maintain user access to corporate domains and business systems in accordance with HR requirements
- Work with system and service vendors to ensure systems are installed, configured, and maintained at optimal levels
- Assist with system integrations and implementation of new functionalities
- Deliver training to teams within the business and maintain supporting documentation
- Escalate system issues to the IT Operations Manager, IT Manager, vendors, or relevant stakeholders as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- First degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in enterprise technical support or IT support
- Advanced knowledge of Windows operating system environment
- Working knowledge of Sage and Oracle
- Working knowledge of Thin Client, Citrix, Microsoft 365 and Azure environments would be an asset
- Understanding of relational database systems and software engineering
