About the Role
Our team is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to support a major offshore facilities development project. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing structural engineering activities, ensuring design integrity, and guiding contractor performance throughout all project phases.
You will act as a technical authority for structural engineering, contributing to design reviews, verification activities, and engineering standards, while ensuring full regulatory and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all structural engineering activities for the project.
- Review and verify contractor engineering work, ensuring compliance with project standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expertise on steel structures, jacket foundations, stability, and structural integrity.
- Participate in project risk assessments, technical reviews, and management of change processes.
- Ensure structural design assumptions, methodologies, and software tools used by contractors are accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams including SURF, Drilling & Wells, FPSO, HSE, and subsurface groups.
- Conduct site and contractor visits as needed to support project milestones and ensure timely delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in structural design engineering within the oil & gas or heavy industrial sector.
- Strong background in steel structure design, jacket structures, foundation design, and stability analysis.
- Experience with feasibility, conceptual engineering, and detailed design phases.
- Proficient in finite element modeling and structural analysis software.
- Strong understanding of international and local engineering codes and standards.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- English fluency required; Spanish proficiency is an asset.
