NIGHT SHIFT CASHIERS

Night Shift Cashiers are responsible for accurately processing customer transactions in a timely manner.  The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet customers as they enter and leave the store.

• Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service.
• Answer customer questions about products, services, and store policies.
• Resolve customer complaints and issues professionally and efficiently.
• Assist customers with their shopping needs, including locating items.
• Promote store loyalty programs, special events, and promotions.
• Accurately and efficiently operate a cash register, point-of-sale (POS) system, and electronic scanners.
• Process various types of payments, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, checks, and gift cards.
• Count and manage cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accuracy.
• Issue correct change, receipts, refunds, and store credit.
• Process returns, exchanges, and rain checks according to store policy.
• Handle coupons, discounts, and promotional offers.
• Monitor and report any pricing discrepancies to management.

• Perform all cashiering-related tasks assigned for the effective function of the department.

   

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma

• At least 5 CSEC passes including English Language and Mathematics.

•  At least 1 year customer service or cashiering experience.
