Project Context
The Western Water Resilience Improvement Project (Phase 1) strengthens potable water supply across Jamaica’s western parishes through ~67 km of ductile‑iron pipelines, delivered by VINCI Construction Grands Projets for the National Water Commission over a 36‑month execution period.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
• Draft and publish job advertisements.
• Screen CVs and shortlist candidates.
• Organize interviews and assessments.
• Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documents.
• Manage new employee orientation and integration.
HR Administration — WWRIP1
• Maintain accurate employee records (contracts, leaves, absences, training).
• Prepare HR documents (letters, certificates, contract amendments).
• Manage project HR databases.
• Follow up on probation periods and contract renewals.
• Prepare HR reporting for management.
• Manage staff accommodation for expatriates (apartments, internet, miscellaneous)
• Manage travel for expatriates and overseas missions.
• Assist the Branch team in the process of Business Visa and work permit
• Book appointment with PICA Montego Bay or Kingston
• Prepare mission letter when necessary
Employee Relations — WWRIP1
• Serve as first point of contact for HR-related queries.
• Collaborate with Section Managers and Construction Teams based in Negril, Lucea and Martha Brae
• Assist in resolving workplace issues or conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
Payroll & Benefits Support
• Collect and verify monthly data (absences, overtime, timesheets, bonuses).
• Liaise with Branch payroll manager and/or finance.
• Report data to Branch payroll manager.
Training & Development
• Identify training needs with managers.
• Organize training sessions and maintain training records.
HR Projects & Compliance
• Participate in HR policy development and implementation.
• Support diversity, inclusion, wellbeing, and engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory HR requirements.
IT knowledge
• VINCI software ‘TIPS’ or similar
• DocuSign or similar
