The role of our General Manager
This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Manager, located in St. George's, Grenada. The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of Silversands Collection Grenada, ensuring premium guest experiences and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include managing staff, monitoring financial performance, upholding luxury standards, coordinating with department heads, and implementing strategic goals that align with the brand's mission. The role also involves fostering a culture of excellence, maintaining vendor relationships, and addressing guest feedback to enhance service delivery. The General Manager acts as the primary leadership figure, ensuring smooth operations across the resort properties while meeting performance objectives.
The General Manager must be a role model to lead at all levels while representing the organization by complying with and enforcing standards and company policies, vision, mission, values, tagline, mantra, purpose, and brand behaviors.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills
- Expertise in strategic planning and operational efficiency
- Experience in financial management and budget optimization
- Customer service excellence and guest experience enhancement
- Knowledge of premium hospitality practices and luxury service standards
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams
- Proximity to or willingness to relocate to St. George’s, Grenada
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years of senior leadership experience in luxury hospitality or resort management
- Familiarity with Caribbean hospitality markets is an added advantage
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or Finance related field (preferred)
- Minimum 10–15 years of hotel operations and/or management in the related
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control
- Experience working in a Caribbean or International Resort Environment is an asset
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
