ACCOUNTANT

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage sub and general ledger, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and completeness
• Review and verify suppliers and contractors payables and finalise payments via bank uploads, cheques, etc
• Assist with receivables management
• Analyse production and operational performance, effecting journals accordingly
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations
• Spearhead payroll processing to include payments, salary deductions, pay advice dissemination, etc.
• Compute and file applicable taxes ensuring timeliness and accuracy
• Play leading role in the external audit process, include coordination of schedules, reconciliation of G/L accounts, interface with auditors, etc.
• Operational oversight and supervision of accounting team and processes.

Qualification, Competence, Requirements

• Degree in accounting, ACCA Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• 3 years experience in financial accounting in similar position, preferably in a manufacturing company
• Effective and proven supervisory experience
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
• Working knowledge of Chempax ERP an added advantage
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Uncompromising integrity and honesty
