KITCHEN SUPERVISOR
Margaritaville Grand Turk is seeking an experienced Kitchen Supervisor to support the daily operations of a busy, fast-paced restaurant kitchen. The successful candidate will oversee kitchen staff, maintain food quality and consistency, and ensure all food safety and operational standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during preparation and service.
• Ensure all menu items are prepared according to recipes, procedures, and presentation standards.
• Maintain consistent food quality so that dishes look and taste the same every day.
• Enforce all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Monitor food quality and report any issues to management immediately.
• Oversee proper product rotation (FIFO) to minimize waste and control food costs.
• Ensure all food is properly wrapped, labeled, and stored using correct day-dot procedures.
• Assist with staff training and support the development of line cooks and kitchen team members.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is used properly, kept clean, and reported if damaged or missing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
• Ensure only menu items entered into the POS system are prepared.
• Report accidents, injuries, or safety concerns immediately to management.
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Kitchen Supervisor, Lead Line Cook, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment for up to eight (8) hours or more.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach as required.
• Ability to work in conditions exceeding standard room temperature.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry items up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely use knives and standard kitchen equipment.
