- Promoting the company’s products and services and to grow customer portfolios (e.g. Corporate clients, resellers and wholesalers).
- Prospecting for sales by contacting current and potential customers and setting up meetings for the purpose of creating sales opportunities and entering long-term agreements /contracts where possible.
- Assisting with the development of annual sales forecast and contributing to its realization by meeting or exceeding individual goals.
- Fostering harmonious business relationships between the company and its customers, including timely resolution of customers’ grievances.
- Maintaining a collaborative relationship with all support staff to nurture an environment where both internal and external customer service, reflect the company’s Strategic Goal of “Customer Centricity”.
- Ensuring the timely processing of customers’ Purchase Orders, and the timely delivery of goods.
- Visiting existing and potential clients to evaluate their needs and/or to promote the company’s products and services.
- Supporting and promoting all company initiatives that are designed and implemented towards continuously improving customer service levels.
- Ensuring that the NATCO brand is well represented by ensuring adherence to professional image and standards.
- Contributing recommendations for new product offerings, new and/or enlargement of existing product lines, corporate sales opportunities, additional customer service requirements, and product & packaging enhancements.
- Assisting with deliveries to customers if and as required.
- Delivering sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Ensuring timely, consistent, and accurate imputing of customers information in the company’s Customer Relations Management (CRM) system, to ensure that customer service reflects the company’s Strategic Goal of “Customer Centricity”.
- Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability.
- Management of her/his customer portfolio using the company’s CRM.
- Assisting with determining pricing schedules for Quotes and Tenders.
- Preparing weekly activity reports and monthly reports as requested.
- Assisting with obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients.
- Thoroughly reviewing RFQ’s to ensure that the customer’s requirements are accurately communicated to our internal Supply Chain department, to facilitate expeditious preparation of quotations so that subsequent purchase orders are correct.
- Assisting with obtaining deposits and A/R balances from clients.
- Responsible for the distribution and timely return of samples to and from clients
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- An Associate degree or higher tertiary level qualification in Sales, Marketing or Business Management
- At least three (3) years’ B2B experience in a Sales environment with proven track record in attaining or overachieving sales targets.
- Experience in a retail and distribution sector
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Certificate in Health, Safety and Environment from a reputable institution
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety products
- Highly motivated and able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.A commitment to excellent customer service
