Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, this role plays a critical part in strengthening leadership capacity, ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering cultural alignment, and supporting sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development
Develop and implement the annual training strategy aligned to business goals
Conduct company-wide training needs assessments
Design and deliver technical, compliance, and leadership training programs
Monitor training effectiveness using performance analytics
Performance Management
Oversee the company-wide performance appraisal cycle
Coach leaders on performance discussions and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
Monitor probation reviews and succession planning
Use performance data to identify development opportunities
Employee Engagement & Wellness
Design and execute employee wellness initiatives
Coordinate health screenings, fairs, and workshops
Lead engagement surveys and action planning
Implement recognition and morale-building programs
Partner with external providers to deliver wellness solutions
Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)
Lead safety training and regulatory compliance initiatives
Oversee accident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
Maintain OHS documentation and safety logs
Liaise with regulatory bodies and insurance investigators
Coordinate fire drills and emergency response training
Leadership & Oversight
Prepare and manage training budgets
Represent People & Culture at leadership meetings
Manage employee grievances and disciplinary matters
Ensure HR policy compliance and documentation accuracy
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Education, or related field
Certification in Training or Instructional Design (preferred)
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in HR leadership or training management
Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety and labour regulations
