Purpose of the Role
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all distribution center activities to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations. This role exists to drive operational excellence, deliver outstanding service levels, and support business growth by ensuring products are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and cost control initiatives
- Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
- Manage, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and team leaders
- Oversee workforce planning, scheduling, and performance management
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and customer service teams
- Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy and reporting
Minimum Education, Experience & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, or similar leadership role in a distribution or logistics environment
- 3+ years of leadership experience in distribution, warehousing, or logistics
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain processes
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
