The Restaurant & Bars department is looking for an experienced and dynamic Mixologist for ourResort, located in Montego Bay - Jamaica.
✔️ What will your day to day work be like? Your main responsibilities will include:
Cocktail Creation and Service: Prepare and serve classic and signature cocktails, as well as other beverages.
Menu Design: Design and create innovative cocktail recipes that reflect seasonal trends, flavor combinations, and customer feedback.
Customer Interaction: Engage with customers, make drink suggestions, and provide information about spirits and cocktails to enhance the customer experience.
Inventory Management: Oversee and maintain all bar supplies, including spirits, garnishes, drink mixes, and glassware.
Bar Operations: Keep the bar area clean and organized, adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols and local food and beverage regulations.
Establish a standard recipe book for all signature mixes that must be available at bars throughout the resort.
Team Support: Supervise bar operations and assist bartenders with drink preparation and customer service as needed.
Promote the sale of all our products and conduct sales events.
Participate in company-designated training programs.
🔎 Who is the ideal candidate for this position?
The ideal person for this position brings extensive knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including flavor profiles, garnish techniques, and the history and culture of different spirits.
Studies:
High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
Certified Mixologist training, apprenticeship, or equivalent professional qualification.
Valid food handling certification.
Experience / Background:
Proven ability to create innovative, unique, and delicious drink combinations.
Proven experience in garnish techniques, Alcohol control, and different Types of spirits.
Languages:
Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for providing an exceptional guest experience.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail and organization.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy objects, and perform various physical tasks required for bar
