JOB DESCRIPTION – Group IT – Software & Digital Services Manager
Role purpose
The Group IT – Software & Digital Services Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, development, and optimization of all digital systems, software platforms, and IT infrastructure across Coop’s Corporation and its subsidiaries. This role combines IT governance, cybersecurity management, automation, systems integration, and internal application development to enhance operational efficiency, accountability, and scalability across the Group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Systems Governance
- Oversee and optimize all group-wide software platforms (POS, Fleetio, Connecteam, Accounting Systems, CRM, etc.)
- Ensure seamless system integration and data consistency across entities
- Standardize digital workflows and documentation across subsidiaries
- Maintain system architecture and process documentation
Internal Application Development & Automation
- Design, build, and deploy internal web/mobile applications as required
- Develop automation tools to eliminate manual processes
- Create executive dashboards and reporting tools
- Maintain and enhance internally developed applications
IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity
- Ensure network reliability and system uptime across all locations
- Manage user permissions and access controls
- Implement cybersecurity safeguards and monitoring systems
- Maintain data backup and disaster recovery protocols
Vendor & Technology Management
- Manage relationships with software vendors and developers
- Evaluate build vs. buy technology decisions
- Negotiate IT contracts and service-level agreements
- Monitor vendor performance and cost efficiency
Data & Digital Intelligence
- Develop real-time reporting dashboards for COO and CEO
- Support Finance and Operations with data analytics
- Improve data reliability and transparency across the Group
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT systems management
- Proven experience building and deploying web/mobile applications
- Experience with cloud-based systems, APIs, and integrations
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles
- Project management and cross-functional leadership capability
