Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner;
- Maintaining defensive driving;
- Providing a communication link between customers and staff,
- Reading and interpreting driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for customers.
- Keeping the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside;
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records on Drivers work order sheets, customer delivery bills, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle checklist reports and other records that are requested from management;
- Performing minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle(s) as required;
- Fueling the assigned vehicle(s);
- Coordinating the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with management and staff to minimize service interruptions;
- Responding immediately to accident or medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers and management.
- Any other related duties that you may be called upon by your manager to perform.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
- Reading production schedule, customer order, work order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Conveying materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributing items to production workers or assembly line.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Marking materials with identifying information.
- Opening and offloading of bales, crates, and other containers.
- Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Weighing or counting items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Arranging stocks and or parts in specified sequence for picking by other workers.
- Picking specific goods according to picking slips information.
- Maintaining stock cards information.
- Any other related duties assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma and/or 3 years work experience.
- Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
- Valid professional heavy T driver’s license (class 3,4)
- Ability to operate forklifts
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good driving record with no traffic violations
- High school degree
