The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards within the kitchen and food preparation areas. This role ensures all equipment, utensils, and workspaces are clean, sanitized, and ready for service at all times.
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, storage areas, and waste disposal areas.
Empty trash bins regularly and maintain waste segregation standards.
Deep clean kitchen areas as per scheduled cleaning checklist.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Assist chefs with basic prep tasks (peeling, washing vegetables, etc.) when needed.
Support inventory organization in dry storage and walk-in coolers.
Help receive and properly store deliveries.
Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
Adhere to health and safety regulations.
Maintain personal hygiene and proper uniform standards.
Assist during inspections and audits as required.
