DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care.
- Assess, monitor, and document patients’ clinical status.
- Administer medications in accordance with established safety standards and institutional policies.
- Deliver pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Participate actively in doctors’ rounds and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
- Follow up on laboratory, diagnostic, and imaging results.
- Manage patient admissions and discharges efficiently.
- Perform clinical procedures including venipuncture, ECGs, wound care, and operation of medical equipment (IV pumps, PCA pumps, feeding pumps, etc.).
- Perform other related duties as may be required.

KNOWLEDGE: | - Knowledge of general Nursing theory and practice.
- Some knowledge of hospital rules and regulations.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: | - Ability to plan, organise and supervise the work of direct reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Ability to demonstrate integrity and maintain confidentiality.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: |
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
- Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Trinidad and Tobago.
- At least three (3) years’ relevant work experience.
- Current BLS/ACLS certification

OTHER: | - Must be able to work a shift system, weekends and public holidays.
