The University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Jamaica) seeks to identify a suitable candidate to fill the following post:
CARE GIVER
The incumbent provides a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed at the Daycare Centre. The position works as part of a team to provide an enabling environment in which all children aged three (3) months to eight (8) years old can play, develop and learn. He/She gives support to staff within the setting and builds and maintains strong partnership working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met. Flexibility is key, as the incumbent will be assigned to various areas and teams as needed, contributing to a positive and safe experience for all children in care.
Requirements:
The preferred applicant should possess:
- Four (4) GCE ‘O’ Level/CXC General Proficiency subjects, including English Language
- NCTVET Level 2 in Early Childhood Development or a Certificate in Early Childhood, Care and Development, or a similar area from a recognised institution.
- Food Handlers Permit
- Untainted Police Record
- Paediatric Basic Life Support
- At least one (l) year of experience working in a similar capacity
Salary range (Band 3): $ 1,439,455.00 p.a. - $1,935,907.00 p.a.
Allowances: Lunch: $94,476.20 p.a. and Uniform $ 45,880.57 p.a.
