The Internal Auditor is responsible for independently evaluating the company’s financial and operational activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. This role helps strengthen internal controls and promotes efficient, effective, and well-governed business operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform engagement level risk assessment.
- Performing special investigations, internal audits, reviews on compliance with policies & regulations and reviews of the Group of Companies' internal control system.
- Assisting with the development of audit systems such as comprehensive audit programs highlighting audit objectives and detailed procedures to achieve objectives.
- Execute audit engagement fieldwork.
- Analyzing and concluding on the effectiveness and efficiency of the control environment.
- Identifying control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Communicate or assist in communicating the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations on a timely basis to management.
- Conducting kick-off and exit meetings, interviews as well as walkthroughs with management and the relevant staff members responsible for the process or area being audited.
- Identify, develop, and document audit issues using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed.
- Preparing detailed internal audit reports highlighting discrepancies or weaknesses in internal controls and operational functions as well as providing value-added recommendations for improvement whilst monitoring management's response and implementation.
