THE INCUMBENT WILL:

• Develop and expand the data analysis function, play a key role in the Budgeting, Forecasting and monthly review processes.
• Develop and utilize trend analysis in the Budgeting and Forecasting process.
• Develop forward looking analysis to drive improved business performance and commercial insight.
• Develop and maintain financial models that aid in decision making.
• Analyse key Business performance indicators, highlighting risks and opportunities for decision making
• Abilty to represent and provide support during leadership meetings

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Timely distribution of Strategic KPI reports in Executive style formats with available drill down content.
• When necessary updates to the full month Revenue & GP forecast, with supporting calculations (discount impact of major promotions, merchandise supply issues, etc).
• Supply Chain Dashboard.
• Thirteen week Rolling Summary Chain P&L’s and Cash Flow forecast.
• Cost Savings tracking and analysis.
• Capex appraisals and tracking.
• Maintain analysis which supports Debt Capacity and Covenant calculations.
• Develop / enhance and maintain a full suite of Budgeting models. Thus ensuring accurate calendar phasing and Chain / Branch allocation.
• Support the FC in preparing Full year forecast with quarterly updates (6+6 and 9+3 etc)
• Support the FC in preparing for and conducting Branch & Cost Centre cycle reviews. Aim is to enhance Branch Manager awareness and QC for the P&L’s and related Balance Sheet values.
• Providing accurate and timely information as per agreed schedule or ad hoc requests.
• Any other tasks assigned that will assist in achieving the purpose stated above and/or the company mission.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES INCLUDE:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or similar field
• Minimum 3-5 years experience as an experienced Financial Analyst.
• Minimum 2 years experience as an accountant
• Experience in financial modelling and forecasting methods.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and database management.
• Detail oriented with exceptional analytical and presentation skills.
• High levels of accuracy and efficiency under minimal supervision.
• Strong inter-personal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Good understanding of business and the drivers for success.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding work load.
• Positive attitude towards work.
• Ability to work on own initiative
